Aspiration Bird

Created in New York, this bird image is a reproduction of a drawing by Sri Chinmoy entitled “Aspiration Bird”. The carving weighed around 400 lbs and Sri Chinmoy lifted it with a lifting technique called a “seated calf raise.” It was then placed out in a meditation garden and slowly melted in the spring rain.
